Theodore Leo Parsons III
April 3, 1953 – March 28, 2025
Theodore Leo Parsons III, known to all as Ted, passed away peacefully at his home in Bruno, Nebraska, on March 28, 2025. He was 71 years old.
Born on April 3, 1953, to Theodore Leo Parsons II and Catherine Schultz, Ted grew up with a strong work ethic and a warm, mischievous spirit. On June 6, 1985, he married Ann Marie Gibney in Wahoo, Nebraska, and together they built a loving family.
Ted dedicated his life to hard work, spending his career as a truck driver for several companies. He also partnered with his sons to run a recycling company, always finding ways to contribute and support his community. His service extended beyond work; he was a proud member of the Mead, Nebraska Volunteer Fire and Rescue Squad, giving his time and energy to help others.
Farming was another passion of Ted’s, especially when it involved working with livestock—he had a particular fondness for goats. He also enjoyed farming for his close friend Bill Chromy. Ted’s life was filled with laughter, often the result of his legendary sense of humor and love for practical jokes. A lovable man with a heart of gold, he brought joy to everyone he met.
Ted is survived by his beloved wife, Ann Marie Parsons; his children, Duane Parsons, Deanne Parsons-Ramirez (Osvaldo Ramirez), Neva Parsons, and Theodore Parsons IV; his grandchildren, Allison, Giovani Jr., and Alexander Ramirez, and Tyler Leo Parsons; and his stepdaughter, Lorie Nielsen. He also leaves behind his brother, Robert (Peggy) Parsons, and many extended family members and friends who will miss him dearly. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister Neva Grant, and brother Steven Parsons.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 2, 2025, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Pruss-Nabity Funeral Home in Wahoo. Interment will take place at Sunrise Cemetery in Wahoo on Friday, April 4, at 2:00 p.m.
Ted’s memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. His humor, kindness, and hardworking nature will never be forgotten.
