Terry R. Munter

Terry Reed Munter Age 71 Wahoo, Ne Born to Dick and Bonnie Munter in Norfolk,Ne. Father and Grandfather, Terry passed away Sunday December 5, 2021 due to complications from his fight with cancer. His children were close by. As a graduate from Coleridge Public Schools in 1968, he began his life as an avid scholar at Wayne State College. Over many years, Terry obtained a BA in Industrial Tech (with honors), a Masters on the same to follow, and an additional Masters in Instructional and Curriculum/Computer Science. Although he taught in several Nebraska school systems, he proudly gained a long standing career as an Independent Insurance and Crop Adjuster and later taught within the industry as well. In 2018, he retired from the field in Vermillion, SD. Terry moved back to Nebraska to be closer to his kids. Dad was a lot of things to many people. He was an avid hunter and fisherman ,a highly educated scholar, an advocate for education, a mentor and a world traveler. Including the trip of his lifetime to Poland. But mostly he was the worlds best Dad. He always said his greatest accomplishments were his children, but we always knew he was largely the reason we were all successful people. He could build everything from a house to a Minibike. Dad loved a good gun show and a field of Angus cattle. He never turned away from helping a neighbor, friend, or family even if that meant having less for himself. Dad was the keeper of memories …. Where they lived, who they were related to, and of course quick with a story about them! He never knew a stranger! This budding brewmaster was loved by so many. He loved to cook! The “finest chef” in Cedar County? Perhaps, but no matter the event, to him the food was always the feature to be discussed afterwards. His memory will forever live on through his 4 children, Tyler (Tracy) Munter, Annie (Rex), Jessie Stanislav, and Dollie (Janusz) Karolewski; and his 7 grandchildren. As well as his brother Jerry (Jake) and wife Teri Munter, and sisters Barbra Swan, and Beverly (Babe) Munter as well as many nieces and nephews he adored! Dad had so many lifelong friends that were like family. Preceded in death by his parents and his brother Gary (Hank) Munter. Memorials may be made to the family for a later designation.
