Shirley M. Hoy, age 88 of Wahoo, died Tuesday, January 7, 2014 in Lincoln. She was born December 27, 1925 in Fairmont, NE to Thomas and Anna (McCluskey) Green. She graduated from high school in Lincoln, NE and began work at Russell Stover Candies in Lincoln. Shirley married Ray E. She delighted in spending time with her grandchildren as they were growing up. She was a member of Hilltop Country Club and savored every opportunity to play a round of golf. The trick-taking tactics in Bridge brought great enjoyment to Shirley and she expressed her creative side through her crocheted works. Following their retirement, Shirley and Ray basked in the warmth of New Mexico each winter. They also enjoyed a memorable trip through Europe. She was preceded in death by her husband Ray E. Hoy; twin brother Francis Green; brother Tom Green; and sister Bernadette Gabaroon. Shirley is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Ray E. "Bud" and Cathy Hoy of Cedar City, UT; daughter and son-in-law Cheryl and Royce Stuchlik of Wahoo; granddaughters Wendy (Jeff) Schneider of Wahoo, Tracy (Jason) Unger of Wahoo; Holly (Davis) Anderson of Hampton, VA; great-grandchildren Carley Majka, Austin Schneider, Jake Unger, Ryann Unger, Kael Anderson, Avery Anderson; as well as grandchildren and great-grandchildren in Utah.
