Shirley E Doggett

Shirley (Pearson) Doggett, age 82 of Lincoln, died Tuesday, October 29, 2024 in Lincoln. She was born in Wahoo on September 6, 1942 to Richard and Signe (Carlson) Pearson. The family lived on a farm by Malmo and then moved to Wahoo when Shirley was five years old. After graduation from Wahoo High School and Luther College, Shirley began her working career at banks in Wahoo, Lincoln, and California. Shirley and Larry Doggett were married on March 6, 1970 in Las Vegas, NV. After moving back from California to Lincoln, Shirley began working at Nebraska Book Company and retired in 2008.

Family members include brother Duane (Jeanne) Pearson of Hyde Park, NY; sister Lois (Bruce) Steyer of Lincoln, NE; niece Kristin (Rene) Docherty and family of Hickman, NE; niece Jennifer (Stephen) Cole, Aiden and Emma of England; niece Claire (Bill) Mercurio and Will, Bryce and Cam of Poughkeepsie, NY; nephew Daniel (Meghan) Pearson, Evie and Gigi of Mequon, WI. Shirley was preceded in death by her parents Richard and Signe Pearson, and husband Larry Doggett.

Funeral services will be held at 11 am Monday at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Wahoo. Interment will be at Sunrise Cemetery.
