Sharon L. Schulz

Sharon (Mayer) Schulz, lovingly known as “Shar”, 71, began her final journey to be with God and His Angels on September 5, 2021 while surrounded by family and friends at her home in Colon, Nebraska. She was born in Fremont, Nebraska on April 19, 1950 to Fred and Delores (Tank) Mayer. Trusting in Christ Jesus as her Savior, Shar was baptized in the Mead Emanual Baptist Church. Shar was a graduate of Mead High School in 1968, grew up on the family farm in Colon, NE, and later moved to live in Colorado. After the passing of her parents, Sharon moved back to the family farm in 1989 where she was blessed with the birth of her son, Brandyn on June 28, 1994 and continued on as a loving mother. Even Brandyn’s friends called Shar “Mom”. Her favorie things included traveling (especially to Colorado), gardening, her love of animals and loud fast cars. She also had a wonderful artistic flare for painting and the making and selling of her jewelry. Sharon was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Deloris Mayer; grandparents Fred and Bessie Mayer and Louis and Edna Tank; as well as many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Sharon is survived by her son Brandyn Schulz; sister and brother-in-law Julie and Ron Raver; nephew Nick Raver; and loving special friend Kenny Cloutier. Even without the ability to vocalize, Sharon had a special knack of entertaining her family and friends with her “creative communication” skills by letting them know that she’s the “Boss” by using her unique facial expressions or the “wagging” of a pointing finger. Shar sends her love and blessings to her family and all of her life’s friends.
