Roxane M. Heiser, 60, of Weston, Nebraska, passed away peacefully on May 30, 2025, in Wahoo, Nebraska.
Born on July 5, 1964, in Schuyler, Nebraska, to Raynold and Pauline Thege, Roxane grew into a woman known for her boundless heart, quiet strength, and deep devotion to her family and home.
A proud and diligent mail handler for the United States Postal Service, Roxane was as dependable in her work as she was in her personal life. She was a mentor to many younger family members, always offering guidance, encouragement, and love.
Roxane found great joy in her home and yard. She took pride in maintaining her garden and the exterior of her home, decorating it with care and creativity through the seasons. She enjoyed painting, crafting, and bringing her artistic touch to everything she did. Roxane was an enthusiastic fan of all Nebraska sports, and her gratitude for even the smallest kindnesses was well known among her friends and loved ones.
She is survived by her loving husband, Donald Heiser of Weston; daughter Amanda (Dan) Christian of Weston; and her treasured grandchildren Alex, Taylor, and Barrett Christian. She also leaves behind her mother, Pauline Thege of David City; brothers Curtis (Denise) Thege of Lincoln, Doug (Pam) Thege of Gilman, Iowa, and Jim Thege of David City; and many nieces and nephews who were deeply inspired by her example. Roxane was preceded in death by her father, Raynold Thege.
Visitation will be held Monday, June 2, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Pruss-Nabity Funeral Home. A funeral service will take place on Tuesday, June 3, at 11 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church.
Roxane will be remembered for her selflessness, her strong work ethic, and the warmth she brought to everyone around her. She was deeply loved and will be profoundly missed.
Memorials in Roxane’s memory may be made to projectpinkd.org to aid in positively impacting the lives of women diagnosed with breast cancer and their families.
