Richard Craig Meusborn

Richard Craig Meusborn, 88, of Casa Grande Arizona passed away on June 20, 2024 after a short battle with cancer. Richard was born in Prague Nebraska on March 22, 1936, the youngest child of Richard J. W. and Johanna Sieck Meusborn. He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Vada and Laverne. He graduated from Malmo High School in 1953. He married Loretta Gregg in June 1957. She passed away from cancer in 1997. They had three children, Myrna (Randy) Griffith, Richard John and Ryan Edward, three grandchildren, Kyle (Amanda) Griffith, Michael (Abby) Griffith, and Kevin (Ashley) Griffith, and ten great-grandchildren.

During his childhood and beyond, Richard helped in his father’s service station in Malmo. This sparked a love of cars and all things mechanical that he kept throughout his life.

After high school, he joined AT&T where he spent his entire working career before retiring from their Kansas City Missouri office in 1988.

While living in Shawnee, KS, his family were active members of Redeemer Lutheran Church, where he spent many hours mowing lawns and maintaining the church building.

He also spent many hours on his Honda Gold Wing motorcycle, including camping trips to the Colorado mountains with his sons.

He married Huguette Bonneau on November 20, 2003. She survives of the home. He had 4 step-children, Chris Davies, Yvonne Wright, Pierre Woodrum, & William Wright.

He and Huguette enjoyed a long retirement traveling throughout the country in their RV before settling in Arizona.

Funeral service is July 1, 2024 at 11:00 am, with visitation starting at 10:00 am – 11:00 am, at Edensburg Evangelical Lutheran Church in Malmo, NE. Interment will be at Edensburg Lutheran Cemetery.
