He was confirmed in the Zion Lutheran Church and joined the Ithaca Evangelical Church in 1948 and was an active member and a trustee for many years. Milton married Alice Quick on August 4, 1948 and experienced 65 plus years of a good and happy marriage. He was a devoted father to his four daughters and looked forward to his grandchildren staying with him during summer vacations from school. Milton's six great-grandchildren, and soon-to-be seventh, were his latest pride and joy. Milton served many years on the school board, Farmers Co-op Board, and Indian Mound Cemetery Board.
