Mary E Kruse

Mary E. Kruse, age 53 of Wahoo, died Monday, November 6, 2023 in Omaha. She was born March 17, 1970 in Fremont to Richard and Clara (Groves) Lawver. After high school, Mary earned various certifications in health-related fields. She was a lifelong caregiver both professionally and personally as she doted on her children as well as other family members. She treasured her time spent with family and sharing with them her quirky sense of humor. Growing up on a farm, Mary developed a deep love of animals and took pleasure in looking after them.

She is survived by husband James Kruse; children Dana Zeleny (fiancé Caleb Malone), Kyle (Maddi) Zeleny, Quinn Zeleny, Dominic Kruse, Kelsey (Dylan) Burcham; grandchildren Crawford and Corinne Malone, Andi and Lincoln Burcham; mother Clara Lawver; siblings R. Michael (Denise) Lawver, Matthew (Joni) Lawver, Katherine (Terry) Chadek, Mark (Becky) Lawver; many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Visitation will be Monday, November 20 from 4 – 6 pm with Memorial Service at 6:00 pm at Pruss-Nabity Funeral Home. Memorials may be given to the family for later designation. Interment will be at Bethel Cemetery in Weston.
