Margaret (Marge) Meduna DeVivo, 73, entered into eternal rest on Friday, December 15, 2023 at South Haven Living Center in Wahoo.
Marge was born July 30, 1950 to Ray and Dorothy (Fiedler) Meduna of Weston. She was a 1968 graduate of Bishop Neumann High School in Wahoo. After graduation, Marge went on to earn a Master’s Degree in Education from the University of Nebraska in Lincoln. She enjoyed traveling and experiencing different cultures from all over the world. She made numerous trips to India, an actually lived there for 6 months. She visited Italy a few times, lived in Scotland for a year, and in Sedona, AZ for 2 years. After that, she lived in Wahoo and most recently in Lincoln.
Marge was diagnosed with cancer in February , 2023 and was only given weeks to live. Marge showed her strength and determination to outlive everyone’s expectations. Even though her physical activity was quite limited over the months, She managed to keep a positive attitude and uplifted the spirits of those around her. Marge had a way of connecting with people of all types and had great respect for all cultures. Marge’s life was based on three principles: Truth, Simplicity, and Love.
Marge is survived by her son Nathaniell DeVivo of San Diego, CA; siblings Kathy Meduna of Wahoo, Ron (Sheri) Meduna of Weston, Joan (Steve) Berggren of Wahoo, and Karen (Rodell) Plybon of Wahoo; 9 nieces and nephews; 13 great-nieces and great-nephews.
Her family plans to host a Celebration of Life after the Holidays.
Memorials may be given to the family for a later designation.
