Lyle A. Wedberg December 16, 1914 to October 4, 2015 Lyle Wedberg passed away on Sunday, October 4. He lived a long, independent, happy life. He was preceded in death by his wife, Louise J. Wedberg. They were married for 62 years. Lyle grew up on a small farm west of Ceresco. He attended Ceresco High School. He farmed most of his life except for a brief time beginning in 1938 when he moved to California to work. It was there that he met Louise Dell'Era. They were married in San Rafael, CA, on October 5, 1940. He was in the Army a short time before his father requested the Red Cross assistance that allowed his return to Nebraska and assistance in operating their family farm. Lyle and Louise returned to the Ceresco, NE, area where he began his life-long career of farming. He was a loving husband, good neighbor and friend to many, a great father, grandfather and great grandfather. Lyle is survived by three children: John Wedberg and his wife, Marilyn of Verona,WI; Chip Wedberg of Wahoo, NE; and Linda Wedberg-Kraft and her husband, Bob Kraft, of Omaha. He leaves behind seven adoring grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. We will miss his stories, wit, smile and the twinkle in his eyes. A Celebration of Life is scheduled for October 31, 2015, at 11:00 a.m. and an open house to follow until 2:00 p.m. at the Wahoo Hilltop Country Club. Memorials may be sent to Hospice and Home Healthcare of Saunders County, Paralyzed Vets of America, or the memorial of your choice.
