Lora P Nungesser

Lora P. Nungesser, age 91 of Mead, died Monday, February 17, 2014 in Wahoo. She was born November 9, 1922 at Casey, IA to Carl and Bertha (James) Jensen. On November 28, 1940, Lora married Francis Nungesser in Des Moines, IA. They lived in Eagle Rock, Missouri where they were members of All Faith Methodist Church for 22 years. In 2003, they moved to Mead. Lora worked for many years as a laboratory technician. Some of her past times included crafts and bridge. She and Francis enjoyed travelling to various parts of the world. Lora is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Sandra and Don Headlee of Yutan; son Don Nungesser of Lincoln; son and daughter-in-law Steve and Deb Nungesser of Lincoln; sister Lucille Draman of Orient, IA; 13 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and 9 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents Carl and Bertha Jensen; her husband of 67 years, Francis Nungesser; son Bobby Nungesser; brother Willis Jensen; sister Marie Cochran; daughter-in-law Jeanette Nungesser; grandchildren Lisa Jo Headlee, Jeffrey Steven Nungesser, and Colin Wayne Schilke. Honorary Casket Bearers are Tony Casella, Jr., Cain Nungesser, Nick Markham, Ray Lee Headlee, Jerry Markham, Sr. and Alan Makovicka. Memorials may be made to the family for a later designation.
