Kathryn L. Miller

Kathryn L. Miller, age 94 of Wahoo, died Thursday September 29, 2022 in Wahoo. She was born October 18, 1927 in Wichita, Kansas to Leon and Annabelle (Lindly) Peters and grew up in a sod house in Custer County, Nebraska. She attended school in Anselmo often riding her horse to school. Kathryn married Elden Miller in Marysville, Kansas on January 13, 1947 and worked for many years for the Air National Guard. She was a volunteer for the Red Cross for ten years and stayed active in her church.


Kathryn spent many happy times camping with her husband. They served as campground counselors. She was an avid ham radio operator. Family was very important to Kathryn. She spent as much time as she could with her grandchildren and she looked forward to a reunion with extended family every other year.


She is survived by her children James (Mary) Miller of Bellevue, Sue (Keith) Stewart of Lincoln, Gary (Pam) Miller of Wahoo; brother-in-law Gerald Spahn; sister-in-law Fay Peters; 6 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and 4 great-great-grandchildren. Kathryn was preceded in death by her husband; parents; sisters Patricia Jordan, Marcia Gunn and Nancy Spahn; and brother Larry Peters.


Funeral Services will be at 10:00 am Wednesday at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church. Visitation is 5-7 pm Tuesday. Interment will be at Lincoln Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Our Redeemer Lutheran Church Building Fund.
