Jose Manuel Reyes, Jr.

Jose Manuel Reyes, age 38, of Lincoln, Nebraska, passed away Tuesday, August 25, 2026, at his home in Lincoln.

Jose was born August 12, 1988, in Chicago, Illinois, to Jose Manuel Reyes Sr. and Antonia (Martinez) Reyes. He grew up in Lincoln, where he attended school and graduated from high school.

Jose worked in the construction industry as a mason.

He is survived by his son, Maximo Long of Lincoln; his mother, Antonia Reyes of Lincoln; his brother, Rene Reyes of Mexico; his sister, Sara (Steven) Creps of Lincoln; and his nephew, Julian Petersen of Lincoln.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, September 1, at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church. Interment will follow at St. Francis Cemetery.
