Jon W. Pearson, age 76 of Wahoo, died Friday November 10, 2017 in Wahoo. He was born June 9, 1941 in Omaha to Thor and Marjorie (Gross) Pearson. While attending Benson High School, Jon played trombone in the dance band and was active in ROTC. His family moved to Wahoo and Jon worked at the Wahoo Bakery while finishing high school. He graduated from Wahoo High School in 1960. Jon served in the United States Navy and was honorably discharged. He married Gloria Mae Allbee at Bethlehem Lutheran Church November 10, 1990. Jon's hobbies included working on antique cars and dancing with Gloria. Jon considered himself to be a Jack-of-many-trades. He primarily worked as a carpenter whose talents included building stairs and decks. He painted houses and barns as well as a church in Swedeburg. Jon also did concrete work, and brick laying as well as just about any other project that needed to be done. He is survived by his wife Gloria of Wahoo; children Tim Peters of Omaha, Chris (Brent) Bolte of Lincoln, Robert Pearson, Michelle (Matt) Uristas of Colorado; grandchildren Thomas (Alice) Bolte, Jacob Bolte (Lacie Tewes), Isaac Bolte, Mariah Bolte, Cody Uristas; great-granddaughter Mae Bolte; sister Jacque Norris of Lincoln; brother-in-law Charles Allbee of Georgia; many nieces and nephews. Jon was preceded in death by his parents and infant sister Connie Lee Pearson. Memorials may be given to the family for a later designation.
