John L Martin

John L. Martin, age 71 of Wahoo, died Wednesday, June 26, 2019 in Wahoo. He was born December 31, 1947 in Lincoln to James and Evelyn (Aul) Martin. He grew up in Valparaiso and served in the United States Marine Corp during the Vietnam War. Following his active duty service, John enlisted in the Army National Guard and served for 21 Years. He was a Life Member of American Legion Post #371 and VFW Post #10491 in Valparaiso and served as Post Adjutant for 13 years. John worked as a Fuel Technician for the Burlington Northern Railroad and also did sheet metal work. He was an avid turkey hunter and fisherman. John is survived by his wife Pamela of Wahoo; children Jessica (Mark) Horsham of Wahoo, Jillian (Mike) Wiley of Omaha, Erin (Jeff) Campbell of Lincoln, Michael (Donna) Martin of Lincoln; siblings James Martin of Valparaiso, Larry (Shirley) Martin of Valparaiso, Sharon Blair of Shoreham VT, Janice (John) Griffith of Boise ID, and 9 grandchildren.
