James H Lynch

James H. Lynch (fondly called Yogi), 54, of Wahoo, NE died April 13, 2014 at Methodist Hospital, Omaha, NE after a sudden illness. Jim was born on Dec. 19, 1959 in Wahoo, NE, the 6th child of Howard and Melda Lynch. Jim graduated from Wahoo Public High School and studied climatology and business at Nebraska Wesleyan in Lincoln, NE. In the course of his career, he became a seasoned building material salesman/contractor, working several years at Menards, Husker Glass, and, most recently, Mead Lumber. Jim was a big man best known for his big smile and infectious laugh. He enjoyed card games, movies, golf and nature; he loved his dogs and his family. We will miss him greatly. He is preceded in death by his parents Howard and Melda (Tollefson) Lynch and infant brother Patrick Michael. He is survived by his siblings Barb (Richard) Howser, Ida Grove IA, Mary Pat (Howard) Freeman, Noblesville IN, Jeff (Jenny) Lynch, Apex NC, Dennis (Maria) Lynch, Easter Island, Marletta (Virgil "Butch") Patro, LaVista NE; nieces and nephews Erica Freeman, Jarred Freeman, Christopher Lynch, Nick Lynch, Patrick (Gena) Lynch, Mike (Kim) Patro, Mitch (Jen) Patro; great-nieces and nephews Cameron Lynch, Samantha (Zack) Siefert, Megan Patro, Isaiah, Alexandria and Abigail Patro. In lieu of flowers, a Memorial Fund in honor of Jim's love of dogs will be given to Saunders County Lost Pets Rescue, where he got Riley and Freeway.
