Ivan Otto Bergman was born September 4, 1949, in Wahoo, NE to Otto and Margaret Bergman. He was baptized, confirmed, and a lifelong member of Zion Lutheran Church in Ithaca. He grew up on a farm near Ceresco and attended District 52 Elementary School. He graduated from Ceresco High School in 1967 and went on to attend John F. Kennedy College. After graduating in 1971, he began working at Anderson Auto in Wahoo as a bookkeeper and salesman. He stayed with the same dealership through many owners and was a co-owner of Piper Bergman Auto. He was currently employed by Sid Dillon and made it his life's ambition to sell a diamond-white vehicle to his numerous clients. Ivan was an avid fan of Wahoo Warrior sports, rarely missing a game since the 80's. He attended all of his nieces' school and athletic events and recently learned that he liked soccer thanks to his great-nephew. Ivan took enormous pride in his yard and flowers. He also delighted the town with his seasonal outdoor light displays. Ivan is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his sister, Diann and her husband Jim Chvatal; niece Alyssa, her husband Dave Nelson, and their two children, Grady and Rilynn; and niece Aleigh Chvatal; along with many relatives and close friends
