Ileta E. Turnwall, age 94 of Wahoo, passed away peacefully in her sleep, surrounded by her family, on Thursday, July 12, 2012 in Wahoo. She was born near Valparaiso, NE on March 16, 1918 to John and Emma (Wondra) Dooley. Ileta grew up and attended school in Ceresco until 1934 when her family moved to Wahoo. She graduated from Wahoo High School in 1936. Ileta married Leonard Edward Turnwall on October 16, 1938 in Wahoo. They moved to a farm North of Weston and lived there until 1983 when they retired from farming and moved to Wahoo. Ileta belonged to the Weston Baptist Ladies Aid and the Happy Matrons Club and, after joining the Wahoo Presbyterian Church, she was a member of the Presbyterian Women. Ileta is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Gene and Dian Turnwall of Weston, daughter-in-law Ina Carroll of Wahoo; six grandchildren: Pam and Jerad Osborne of Omaha, Brian and Kim Turnwall of Valparaiso, Carey and Dave Burnley of Firth, Jennifer and Justin Tefft of Lincoln, Craig and Shannon Turnwall of Ireland, and Susan and Greg Anderson of Worland, WY; and fourteen great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, son Gary, father, mother, step-mother Mae, and brother Dallas Dooley.
