Helen M Radenslaben

Helen M. Radenslaben, age 81 of Ceresco, died Wednesday, December 2, 2015 in Wahoo. She was born July 26, 1934 in Baltimore, Maryland. She married Bobbie Radenslaben who was serving in the United States Navy during the Korean Conflict. They were introduced by a relative who was also a ship mate of Bobbie. Following the war, they moved to Nebraska to farm in various locations. Helen settled into the traditional life of a Nebraska farmwife. In addition to her duties as a homemaker and mother, she worked alongside her husband raising crops and tending sheep and pigs. They were often hailed by their neighbors as having the straightest rows of corn in the area. For many years, there was no running water for their house, so Helen carried the water needed for the household to function. She and Bobbie enjoyed travelling together and Helen was a collector of antiques, mostly pottery and furniture and whatever else struck her fancy. Throughout her life, Helen's primary focus was her family. She is survived by her sons Bobbie Radenslaben of Ceresco, James Radenslaben of Lincoln and Kurt Radenslaben; grandsons Bobby Radenslaben of Ceresco and Dillon Timm. Helen was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and daughter Dee Ann Timm.
