Gene (Ronald G.) Piper

. Gene Piper was born in Potlatch, Idaho, grew up in Idaho and Montana, and then moved his family to Nebraska as a young adult. He lived and worked as a car salesman and entrepreneur in Omaha, Wahoo, Yutan, and Fremont. Health issues in 1999 forced him to receive full care at facilities in Valley, Wahoo, and Birchwood Manor in North Bend, NE where he resided for the past 7 years. . He was preceded in death by sons Ron Piper (1974) and David Piper (2007), parents Walter and Mildred, and niece, Patty .He is survived by daughter Kerri (Gene) Harris of Valley, NE, grandchildren JB (Kristin), Cortny (Brad), Brianne (Vince), Holly (Ryan) , and Karley (Makani), 5 great-grandchildren, daughter-in-law Dawn (David) Piper of Lincoln, NE, ex-wives Judy Piper of Valley, NE and Sharon (Behrens) Piper of Omaha, NE, step children Dayle (Kim) Rasmussen of Papillion, NE, Darren (Debbie) Rasmussen of Omaha, NE, Natalie (Joe) Mendolfo, and 6 step-grandchildren, sister Janice (Dwayne) Buzzell of Spokane, WA, brother Howard Piper of Columbia Falls, MT, and many nieces and nephews. Memorials may be given to Birchwood Manor, North Bend, NE.
