Frank Urban

Frank Urban, age 93 of Wahoo, died Sunday, June 16, 2019 in Wahoo. He was born September 3, 1925 in Prague to Joseph and Bessie (Chmelka) Urban. He married Marcie Maly on May 20, 1952 at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church. Frank began working for the Burlington Northern Railroad at the age of 14 and worked his way up to the position of Track Foreman. He retired after 38 years in 1985. He is survived by his wife Marcella "Marcie" Urban of Wahoo; children Karen (Mike) Aerni of Fremont, Steve (Cathy) Urban of Lincoln, Troy (Michelle) Urban of Omaha; daughter-in-law Kathy Urban of Wahoo; grandchildren Todd (Lakeysha) Aerni, Kelly (Andy) Goergen, Ryan (Jill) Aerni, Neil (Christy) Urban, Kyle (Maegan) Urban, Makayla (Marcus) Harlow, Sara Urban, and Jacob Urban; great-grandchildren Alivia and Nolan Aerni, Parker and Watson Aerni, Ethan, Trevor and Phoebe Urban, and Madeline Goergen; sisters-in-law Marge Urban of Wahoo, Rose Iiams of Ithaca, and Rita Urban of Prague. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers Ray Urban, Emil Urban, infant brother Joey Urban; and son Rod Urban. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 am Saturday, June 22. Visitation will be 5-7 pm Friday with Vigil Service at 7 pm, all at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Wahoo. Interment will be at St. Francis Cemetery Memorials may be made to St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church.
