Donald L. Texel

Donald Lee Texel, 85, of Glendale, AZ (formerly of Wahoo, NE) passed away on July 14th, 2014. He was born on October 26, 1928 in Malmo, NE to Ernest and Elsie Texel. He worked for many years with his Dad and brother Keith, running the family business Texel Inc. in Wahoo, NE. He married Donna Hollesen in 1954 and they had three children together – Doug, Debbie and Diane. In 1973, he left the family business and moved his family to Arizona. In 1980 he married Marilyn Mims and after her death in 2009; he continued living in their home in Glendale until the time of his passing. He was preceded in death by his wife Marilyn Texel; father Ernest Texel; mother Elsie Texel; brothers Dennis Texel and Keith Texel Don is survived by his son Doug Texel; daughters Debbie (Texel) Smith, Diane (Texel) Redpath and step daughter Bev Moore; sister in law Barbara Texel; nephews Tim Texel and Mark Texel; niece Kim Texel; 7 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; 2 great nephews and 1 great niece.
