Don Stillger

Don Stillger, age 80 of Ithaca, died September 3, 2015 in Wahoo. He was born March 20, 1935 at Ithaca to Edward and Esther (Luhnow) Stillger. Don was a lifelong member of Ithaca United Methodist Church and was very active in a variety of duties there. He worked many years as a farm hand and also performed odd jobs for community members. Don took immense pleasure in listening to Polka music. Don adored his family and looked forward to their visits. He was a delightful and easy going person who lived a simple life, and never missed an opportunity to cheer on the Cornhuskers. He is survived by cousins Jim (Bonnie) Luhnow of Bellevue, NE Jack Rexilius of Lincoln, NE, Bev (Jim) Hrynbo of New Braunfels, TX, as well as many other cousins; uncle Rex Rexilius of Lincoln; and friend Dorothy Bueso of Ithaca. Don was preceded in death by his parents Edward and Esther, brother Lonnie Stillger, and sister Deloris Steele. Memorials are suggested to Saunders Medical Center - LTC.
