David William Salter

David William Salter left this world to join his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and parents Joe and Virginia Salter on December 12, 2016. David was born in Big Spring, Texas in 1947, spent his childhood in Colorado City, Texas, and graduated from high school in Burkburnbett, Texas. He then attended MidWestern State College in Wichita Falls, Texas. David joined the Marines in 1968 and was stationed at the Headquarters Fleet Marine Corp Pacific. He retired from Kar Products as a Divisional Vice President after 25 years of service. David was always blessed with a wonderful church family and friends. He especially enjoyed his bible study and prayer groups. David loved golfing, fishing, hunting and wood working. The loving family members that will miss him are his wife Debbie, sister Jody Black, daughter Stacy Glock, son-in-law Troy Glock, three wonderful granddaughters who were the joy of his life – Regan, Brynn, and Marley, brother and sister-in-law Bill and Carmen Atchison, brother and sister-in-law Bruce and Jolene Jeffries, special family David and Sheila Shaffer, and his family of Dallas, Texas. Memorials may be made to the Third City Christian Church of Grand Island, Nebraska.
