Chad E. Grasmick

Chad E. Grasmick, 50, entered into rest on Wednesday, February 8, 2023, in Wasilla, Alaska. He was born August 29, 1972, in Wahoo, Nebraska to Larry and Bonnie Grasmick. Chad participated in sports and drama, graduating from Wahoo High School in 1991. Following high school, he attended McCook Community College. After a year or so of following the Grateful Dead around the United States, he moved to Alaska in 1995. He loved the great outdoors of the Alaskan wilderness and was an avid fisherman. He worked with special needs kids in the education field for 23 years, tinkered with cars, and dabbled in horticulture. He is survived by his children, Daughters; Jade Grasmick of Eugene, OR., Mai Grasmick of Palmer, AK., Son; Aidan Grasmick of Palmer, AK., Mother; Bonnie Burkey of Wahoo, Brothers; Scott (Steffany) Grasmick of Elkhorn, Rick (Cathy) Grasmick of Omaha, Stepsister; Anita (Steve) Spencer of Sheridan, IN., Stepbrother; Bruce (Barb) Burkey of Wahoo. Many Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Nieces and Nephews. He was preceded in death by his Father; Larry Grasmick, Infant Brother; Kevin Grasmick, Grandparents; Muzzy and Dode Miller, Konrad and Elma Grasmick, Stepfather; Fred Burkey.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00, Saturday, February 25 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Wahoo. In lieu of flowers, donations can be left for the Chad Grasmick Memorial. Chad will be laid to rest at Sunrise Cemetery.
