Arthur W. Anderson

Arthur W. Anderson, Jr., age 84 of Wahoo, was born April 1, 1934 on the family farm two miles East and 1 ½ miles North of Ithaca, Nebraska to Arthur W. and Elizabeth A. (Sehrt) Anderson. Art attended rural grade school at District #30 until it closed when the Mead Ordnance Plant took over the property. After the death of his father, in 1947, the family moved to Wahoo where Art completed his education at Wahoo Public Schools. Art enlisted in the United States Army and served in Korea from 1956-1958. He principally drove truck during his military service and brought his tactical skills home where he worked for Saunders County for 38 years in bridge and roadway maintenance. Art owned the farm near Ithaca that his grandfather homesteaded. He loved his family and cherished family gatherings at the holidays and other celebrations. Art enjoyed the time he spent with his many friends and acquaintances in Wahoo. He is survived by his cousin C.J. (Mary) Anderson of Ashland; and their four children: Marsha (Kenny) Danner; Dave (Melissa) Anderson, Michelle Westling, and Doug (Liesa) Anderson, all of Ashland; and their children and grandchildren. Art was preceded in death by his parents; and sister Betty Jean Anderson. Casket Bearers will be Rob Berge, Jeremiah Tripp, Casey Anderson, Landan Westling, Dalton Anderson, and James Hamm.
