Listen to Obituary

Entered her eternal rest on Friday, October 2, 2026 at her home in Weston, NE. She was born December 23, 1974 in Fremont, NE. (But celebrated on her half birthday, June 23rd each year).

In 1993, she graduated with a high GPA from Mead High School in Mead, NE. Gave birth to her only daughter Ayla Leré Novak in October, 1994. She worked and went to school as a single mom. She beat cervical cancer in her early 20s and went on her first passenger airplane ride. Then later started her 26 year relationship with Moe Machacek in 2000. He was the man of her dreams when she met him for the first time as a teenager.

She got a bachelor degree in accounting, worked at Insulfoam in Mead, NE, did fabrication in Waverly, NE, then later became a CNA and Medication Aide.

She worked blue collar, she knew money, she knew her medical, she knew everything because she never wanted anyone to tell her she couldn’t do something. Her final work place was of 9 years at BP in Wahoo, NE as the manager. Customers always knew when coming into BP you would be greeted with “mornings!”, “hi hun” or “have a great day honey!” You always felt special when talking with Anjie.

Anjie lived a great life, despite her childhood/teenage years. She was always taking care of the people she loved. She never let them second guess if she would be there for them. She just was.

Anjie loved to travel, going on Harley rides with Moe and their close friends, animals of almost any kind, listening to loud music, 90 degree weather, Halloween, art and funny phrases; Her quick wit and cheerful attitude made her fun to be around. She loved to have a good time, and loved to spend time with the people that mattered to her the most.

Anjie was preceded in death by her father, Bill Novak. Brother, Kenneth Novak. Sister, Micki Novak. Sister, Ruth Ann Novak.

She had many people that she kept close and left behind many loved ones. Her honey, Moe (Steve) Machacek. Daughter, Ayla Leré Novak (Thomas Dobberstine). Grandbabies Otto, Ezra, Taelynn, and Bucklee Dobberstine.

At this time we ask everyone to just think about all the great things you and Anjie did together, take time to remember all the good things. There will be no celebration of life at this time, the immediate family will announce when it will be held at a later date.
