Adolph J. Novotny, age 51, died at his home in Wahoo on December 22, 2015. He was born December 22, 1964 in Wahoo to Leroy D. and Dorothy J. (Houdek) Novotny. Adolph grew up in Wahoo and graduated from Wahoo High School. While in school, Adolph competed on the wrestling team which developed a lifelong passion for that sport. Following graduation, Adolph began a 30 year career as a Meat Cutter, and eventually Meat Manager, at Baker's Supermarket in Omaha. He also enjoyed softball and played golf as often as he could. Skiing and camping were also some of his favorite past times, along with watching the Dallas Cowboys. Adolph's dog, Lucy, was his constant companion. Adolph is survived by his daughters Taylor Novotny of Omaha and Megan Novotny of Omaha; mother Dorothy Novotny of Wahoo; siblings Connie Howie of Colon, Don (Donna) Novotny of Wahoo, Doug (Viv) Novotny of Colon, Leroy (Lorre) Novotny of Colon, Annette (Wade) Stewart of Wahoo, Marcia (Sharlene) Triplett of Lincoln; many nieces and nephews and many great-nieces and great-nephews. He was preceded in death by his father Leroy D. Novotny. Serving as Casket Bearers will be Adolph's nephews John Novotny, Nathan Novotny, Tim Novotny, Kyle Stewart, Marc Stewart, Jacob Stewart, Seth Stewart and Brandon Triplett. Honorary Casket Bearers will be Dan Brown, Dave DuBois, Mike Barry, Mark Sutton, Randy Voeller, Dion Blanke, Mike Sedlak, Ron Masek, Clayton Wade, Roy Torres, Lori Pleiss-Close and Adolph's entire Baker's Family. Memorials may be made to the family for a later designation.
