Biography

Rachel Leigh (Simon) Dixon, age 22, formerly of Wahoo, died Monday, March 17, 2008 as a result of an automobile accident near Norfolk, Nebraska. She was born December 10, 1985 in Fremont to Jerry and Lori (Roach) Simon. She grew up in Wahoo and graduated from Wahoo High School where she was an athletic standout. She was a four time member of the All-State Softball Team and a three time member of the All-State Basketball Team.

She married Moe Dixon on June 2, 2006 in Wahoo. Rachel was a student at Wayne State College and expected to finish classes in May. She planned to student teach next fall at Lincoln Christian. Following graduation she hoped to teach and coach. Rachel adored her four nephews and looked forward to spending as much time with them as possible.

Rachel lived her life to glorify God, and was on the Leadership Team for Campus Crusade for Christ at Wayne State College and also sang in the CCC Worship Band.
