Biography
Rose Marie Lepore, age 29 of Norfolk, died Tuesday, February 9, 2010 at Faith Regional Health Services in Norfolk.
She was born June 2, 1980 in Providence, RI to Russell and Marcia (Nelson) Lepore. Rose attended grade school in Wahoo and graduated from Seward High School in 1999. She moved to Norfolk in 2000, and entered the Envisions program. Rose loved crafts, especially sewing, knitting, and quilting. She used her skills to teach other Envisions clients to crochet and cross-stitch, as well as numerous other crafts. Rose was a meticulous gardener who would often spend hours at a time tending her flowers and vegetables, and provided regular updates on her gardening activities to family members and friends. During the winter months, when outdoor gardening wasn’t possible, Rose tended her indoor potted plants with the same love and attention that her outdoor garden received. She enjoyed horses, and was, at one time, a member of the Wahoo Saddle Club and 4-H Club.Rose was a friendly, outgoing person who quickly made friends and frequently gave hugs. She enjoyed trying to make others laugh. As a giving person, Rose shared her baked goods – especially cookies – with everyone she could, and helped her friends with whatever chore needed done, including cleaning and lawn mowing. She also had a large collection of angel figurines.
She was preceded in death by her father, and half-brother Billy Dawson Stark. Rose is survived by her parents Marcia and Doug Tetley of Wahoo; sister Juliet Prohaska of Wahoo; brothers Joe (Angie) Lepore of Lincoln, and Jim (Melissa) Lepore of Wahoo; stepsisters Winter Tetley of Kearney and Robin Tetley of The United Kingdom; grandparents Laurel and Rose Nelson of Davey, NE; aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews; and good friend Kim Robinette of Norfolk, NE.
