In addition to providing Veterans and their spouses with a 10% discount off funeral & cremation pre-arrangements, Veterans & Family Memorial Care Providers encourage Veterans to take full advantage of their FREE BURIAL BENEFIT guaranteed them by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. Choosing a Veterans State or National cemetery for burial results in an average savings of $5,000-$7,000 per person. The VA recently did a survey resulting in a finding that at least one-third of all veterans were unaware that they were entitled to FREE BURIAL at any of the nation’s 125 National Cemeteries.”  

The government does an excellent job providing veterans and their spouses with burial benefits if they use a Veterans State or National cemetery, however there are very limited benefits for the funeral or cremation.
